Area lakes provide camping, fishing, waterskiing, swimming, and boating.  Lake Herman offers Lake Herman State Park and is bordered on the North by Madison Golf and Country Club.  Lake Madison offers Walker's Point State Recreation Area along with other privately owned resorts.  Just to the Southeast of Lake Madison is The Lakes golf course.
