Computer Based Science/Math Studies of Global Change

This class fostered interdisciplinary learning which both combines multiple science disciplines and incorporates mathematical approaches to the topic.  It demonstrated the linkages among different approaches to scientific issues, from laboratory bench experiments through modeling to scientific-socioeconomic issues and problems of local to global scope.  It raised student awareness of the importance of experimental studies and modeling as foundations for the study of large-scale global issues.  It provided teachers with tools for modeling relationships in both experimental studies and large-scale global issues.  It provided teachers with in introduction to the Case Teaching approach to an issue.
